HEART Project Kicks Off with Successful Learning Mobility in Bulgaria

Velingrad, Bulgaria, January 22, 2025 – The HEART Project (Health, Equity And Respect in the Team), under the Erasmus+ initiative (Project ID: 2024-1-BG01-KA220-YOU-000251580), has just concluded a transformative Learning Mobility event in Bulgaria. This impactful training took place from January 18 to 20, 2025. The event was hosted by AYPB “4th April” in Velingrad, Bulgaria, gathering participants and guests from Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Spain.

Empowering Participants to Combat Online Mobbing

The training focused on two critical objectives:

Enhancing the partners' knowledge on topics specific to the compendium through targeted training provided by the host organization, which possesses in-depth/expert knowledge in the same field.

Sharing tools and strategies for counteracting online mobbing.

Participants engaged in sessions aimed at equipping them with the knowledge and skills to identify, prevent, and intervene in cases of online mobbing. These efforts align with Work Package 2 (WP2) of the HEART project, which seeks to develop a comprehensive HEART Compendium under WP 3.

Key Highlights of the Training

The Learning Mobility event included:

Perspective Sessions: Discussions on the local realities of online mobbing and the role of NGOs, the intersection of mental health and mobbing, and the challenges of digital transitions in addressing the issue.

“Synergies Session”: A collaborative activity where compendium designers and the guests explored strategies to increase interest in the compendium among broader groups.

Practical Workshops: Hands-on training on conflict resolution, tools for anonymous reporting, emotional and practical support techniques for victims, and privacy considerations when addressing online mobbing.

Added Value for Participants

Each participant received a Certificate of Accomplishment and a Youthpass, recognizing their contributions and skills developed during the program.

A Proactive Approach to Addressing Online Mobbing

The training also emphasized the psychological and legal dimensions of online mobbing, offering wellness practices and support resources to victims of violence. Participants gained practical experience in assertive communication, conflict resolution, and using communication models to de-escalate tense situations.

The HEART Learning Mobility is not only a stepping stone for the project’s compendium but also a testament to the power of international collaboration in tackling pressing societal issues.
